                                         Pain Management

Pain is the body's mechanism for letting us know that something is wrong. So we can take our hand from a flame or we deal with that nagging headache. There are times, however, when pain continues long after we have tried to deal with the underlying problem, for example in arthritis or in back pain. This is no longer useful and can indeed become depressing and tiresome. Sometimes restricting activities and affecting our lives to an enormous degree.

Much of the effect of pain is possible to control using the power of the mind. After all, pain is our unconscious interpretation of the signals being sent to the brain. These signals come from the nerves in the affected area. If the interpretation is changed, the pain sensation can be dealt with in a more positive way.

It is important for you to know that hypnotherapy can not cure any physical injury. This is not possible, but with the help of hypnotherapy the pain can become more bearable and much more comfortable to deal with.
